Miss Katie
Founder, Creative Director
Katie discovered her passion for dance at a young age and has spent the past 20 years dedicated to teaching and refining her craft. In 2005, she opened Dream Dance Academy, where she currently teaches over 50 classes each week. With a love for all dance styles, Katie is particularly passionate about choreography, with a strong focus on classical ballet and contemporary dance. Katie is an RAD Registered Teacher, having completed the Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance. She also holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management and is a Full Teacher Member of both Ballet Australasia Limited and Acrobatic Arts. Additionally, Katie has completed Adjudication training through Acrobatic Arts.
Her students have achieved success in prestigious auditions, gaining places at The Australian Ballet School ITP, Ev & Bow, The National College of Dance, Brent Street, ED5 International, and have performed as featured artists in Schools Spectacular.
The “Dream” in Dream Dance Academy represents Katie’s vision to create a nurturing and positive environment where every student has the opportunity to shine and reach their fullest potential.
